Redhill Aerodrome operates under a Certificate of Agreement (CoA) with Border Force National Frontier Approvals Unit.
This agreement does not affect the obligations placed on the operators or captains of aircraft under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Pilots of international flights using Redhill must fill out a General Aviation Report (GAR) Form. Guidance on filling out the GAR Form can be found here.
General aviation passenger flights only.
Notwithstanding anything else in the agreement, permission is given for movements arriving from, or departing for Northern Ireland.
Pilots and passengers who do not already hold permission to enter, or have an existing right of entry to the UK must obtain permission prior to disembarking from their aircraft. Border Force will utilise the information on the GAR and will contact the pilot to grant permission. Please note that under certain circumstances additional information may be required. Redhill Aerodrome is not permitted to handle the following traffic:
Border Force have a web based system to enable pilots to easily submit a GAR. Please use Submit a GAR. Registration is required and the system is free to use.
Send the General Aviation Report form, to the national co-ordination unit (NCU) to send to Border Force or the police.
You should title your email: ‘GAR, airfield registration, name of airfield, postcode of airfield (if known)’. Please check the attached guidance in the Related Content section before completing and submitting the GAR form.
+Pilots and passengers arriving at Redhill without permission from Border Force will be required to remain in their aircraft and contact the local Border Office (Biggin Hill) on +44 (0) 1959 576 347.
Aircraft departing the UK are entitled to claim back the duty paid on the fuel via HO60 Form

Redhill Aerodrome is not a designated aerodrome for the purposes of the above Act. Therefore pilots of flights intending to operate to or from Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland must give prior notice of their intended flight to Surrey Police Special Branch. The contact numbers for Surrey Police Ports Unit are: Monday -Friday (0800 – 1630 hours) 01483 482436 or 482437. Outside these times use 101. Alternatively email your flight details to Surrey and Sussex Police Ports Unit.
At least 24 hours prior notice is required for flights operating Tuesday – Friday. For flights operating on Saturday, Sunday or Monday notification must be given by 1600 hours on Friday.
